The Draft Master Plan 2013 which was revealed in the last month have identified Holland Village, Kampong Bugis and Marina South as new districts for Green Townships that will provide new homes in anticipation of the increase in population. This is in response to the White Paper which was approved by the local government.
The Draft Master Plan have also indicated that its focus will be on building green townships that are green, healthy and interconnected such that strong connection and spirit could be bonded between towns. It also highlight that new commercial centres will be built in Woodlands Regional Centres. The Draft Master Plan also highlight the importance of putting quality green townships shops closer to home in different parts of Singapore including Riverbank.
Green Townships in Singapore
In an effort to create more green townships, official plans have been put in place by the Urban Redevelopement Authority to build cycling paths around different townships. Particularly, it is highlighted that the island’s cycling path will increase from the current 230km to 700km. The Green townships also indicated that there will be more than 70 buildings for conservation to preserve the Singapore identity.
Riverbank New Launch
The Green Townships plans might have significant advantage to Riverbank new condo launch as it is part of the redevelopement plans in sengkang west way along fernvale close. Riverbank condo will be available for launching soon in the first quarter of 2014.
